Ghostscript packages still weigh ~21MB even without the gsfonts and droid-fallback. I wonder if - in addition to above which is in place by now in Sid - it makes sense to compile and package also a more limited compilation of ghostscript. It would be helpful if you could you help by telling how much of the contents of ghostscript, libgs9 and libgs-common can be removed and ghostscript still works for your specific usecase. Also please tell which input and output devices is needed for your specific usecase.
