Can we just forget about the bug you reported for a while and, to begin with, get you printing satisfactorily? Why tie yourself into the tyranny of vendor supplied drivers? Get your cups back to 2.2.8-5 and purge hplip and everything it pulled in. Have the printer on the network and doing DNS-SD (Bonjour) broadcasting. Purge cups-browsed. Now do lpstat -e What do you get? Cheers, Brian
