"libcupsimage2-dev" current has the following dependencies
* libjpeg-dev
* libpng-dev
* libtiff-dev
* zlib1g-dev
... which are neither required during compile-time nor runtime for
applications that depend on this library. "/usr/include/cups/raster.h"
(the only header file provided by this package) makes no use of these
dependencies.
Hence, could these dependencies be made optional ("recommends" or
"suggests") in future versions such that the dependency chains remain short?
