but only the links right at the bottom of the page were accessible.
The file did not validate when fed to validator.w3.org

This bug looks like an upstream bug. Unfortunately HP is no longer willing to
maintain this software properly and does not even provide a public bug tracker.
Meanwhile the Ubuntu Launchpad tracker is ignored as well.
Therefore it is not possible to forward this bug anywhere and emails to their
support just land in a black hole.
In case you still want this bug to be fixed, I am afraid you need to provide a
patch.
