On http://petition.eurolinux.org/ is a petition to the European Parliament, urging them to reconsider the plans to allow software patents.
Perhaps the Debian Project could support them, by putting their buttons on its web site and by sending them a statement of support. I think this is well within the scope of the project's goals. Richard Braakman
