Thanks ! I've read it, it looks promising. One thing that was mentionned but not very elaborated is the relation it can have with MIA maintainers. A good way to fix the bug is to find a new maintainer if the current one is MIA ... Maybe a special bonus can be given if the maintainer changes during the month (problem: several bugs of the same package may be assigned to different persons). In fact, the game could be extended by adding other sub-games with other goals (all QA related) : - finding a maintainer for an orphaned package - finding co-maintainers for packages crippled with bugs (criteria: number of subscribers to the PTS and/or the Uploaders field) - updating a package to follow latest policy if standards-version still is 2.x The problem with those games is that they are more open to abuses ... but maybe transparency would do it (posting a list of success to debian-qa so that they can verify that the work has been correctly done). Anyway, let's start with the "bug" game only, we can extend it afterwards I guess. Cheers, -- Raphaël Hertzog -+- http://www.ouaza.com Formation Linux et logiciel libre : http://www.logidee.com
