Thanks to your report, however, I started looking into the state of affairs which is why I mentioned and included that bug in my initial post so people (looking at the bug) can see where things are going. > At least > a new bug "wxwidgets should provide a python3 package" then blocks the > gnumed bug, but it's not something one should handle there ] I have filed against wxwidgets3.0 and python-wxgtk2.8 asking for python3-wxgtkXX and/or python-wxgtk3.0. Let's see what happens. > On Mon, Jul 07, 2014 at 10:47:28PM +0200, Karsten Hilbert wrote: > > GNUmed (an Electronic Medical Record System) runs under > > Python 2 with wxPython 2.8 and it Depends: on python-uno. > > thankfully the package only Recommends: python-uno.. Thanks. "it" would be - wxpython (as in python3-wxgtkXX ?) I cannot currently (on Debian) build a python3 variant of our application because I cannot test it with wxgtk (2.8 or 3.0, on Debian). I am not so much concerned about the python(3)-uno side of things. If that (convenient, thanks) Debian hack goes away we can work around that.
