On a quick initial look, it all looks OK.
One thing I'd like checked: upstream stopped shipping the built HTML manual,
so the package loses its offline docs.
It would probably be a good idea to at least try building the docs (as
you suggest), but I don't consider it actually required so don't spend
too much effort on it.
Also, lintian has some minor suggestions (click the green "CI passed"
tick in the merge request then "lintian"; explanations at
udd.debian.org/lintian-tags), but I don't consider any of those required
either.
