Hi,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "u-boot-pylib", which I have
just joined the team to maintain.

 * Package name     : u-boot-pylib
   Version          : 0.1.0-1
   Upstream contact : Simon Glass <[email protected]>
 * URL              : https://github.com/deinde-dev/u-boot-pylib
 * License          : GPL-2+
 * Vcs              : https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/u-boot-pylib
   Section          : python

The source builds one binary package:

  python3-u-boot-pylib - Python library used by U-Boot tools such as patman
                         and buildman

It closes the ITP, #1150622.

u-boot-pylib is the library of common code used by U-Boot's Python tools:
running commands and pipelines, handling files and temporary directories,
working with git, terminal output and logging, and running test suites.
Most of the code has been in the U-Boot tree for many years, more recently
as tools/u_boot_pylib, and it is now released separately on PyPI. I am the
upstream author. The main reason for packaging it is patman (patch-manager
on PyPI), which depends on it since 0.4.0; I will send an RFS for that once
this is in.

Notes on the packaging:
 - It uses pybuild with the pyproject plugin. The orig tarball is the PyPI
   sdist, imported with gbp and pristine-tar, and debian/watch uses the
   PyPI redirector.
 - There are no patches to the upstream sources.
 - The upstream tests expect a git checkout of the library, so they are
   not run at build time. debian/tests runs a smoke test of the installed
   package.
 - The optional u_boot_pylib.claude module needs claude-agent-sdk, which
   is not in Debian, so it is not a dependency; the rest of the library
   does not need it.

The Salsa CI pipeline passes, including the lintian, autopkgtest,
piuparts, debrebuild, blhc and i386 build jobs:
