Package: metalog
Version: 0.7beta-3
Severity: wishlist

I am using watchdog on my machines, besides writing to softdog device it
monitors
/var/log/messages file. apt-get install metalog causes machines setup this way
to start deadly
reboot-syslog failure-reboot loop ( something not very nice in case of remote
machines ).
So, while this problem is caused by watchdog and it's configuration, it would
be nice if metalog
would install with setup compatible with sysklogd.

This package has been removed from Debian unstable because it was
unmaintained, old and according to the maintainer quite obsolte and
useless.
