However, if URL contains encoded space e.g. http://www.host.com/funny%20pictures/ the last part of URL separated by space is lost. I examined /usr/bin/viewurl-mozilla.sh and noticed that it looks up only at the first script argument -- $1 and discards the rest. That means that licq decodes the URL and does not escape spaces, i.e. one URL becomes broken into two parameters. I suggest that licq would put quotation marks ("") around URL upon passing the decoded URL to the script, in this case the spaces would not be lost. thanks! marius -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.5-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 Versions of packages licq depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.3.3-7 GCC support library ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7d-1 SSL shared libraries ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.3-7 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii licq-plugin-qt [licq-plugin 1.2.7-7 Graphical front-end plugin for LIC -- no debconf information --------------------------------------- Received: (at 247132-close) by bugs.debian.org; 6 Jun 2004 14:08:04 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jun 06 07:08:04 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BWyJg-0000u2-00; Sun, 06 Jun 2004 07:08:04 -0700 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BWyDv-0001ej-00; Sun, 06 Jun 2004 10:02:07 -0400 From: Peter Eisentraut <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.49 $ Subject: Bug#247132: fixed in licq 1.2.7-8 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sun, 06 Jun 2004 10:02:07 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Score: 3 Source: licq Source-Version: 1.2.7-8 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of licq, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: licq-dev_1.2.7-8_all.deb to pool/main/l/licq/licq-dev_1.2.7-8_all.deb licq-plugin-console_1.2.7-8_i386.deb to pool/main/l/licq/licq-plugin-console_1.2.7-8_i386.deb licq-plugin-jonsgtk_1.2.7-8_i386.deb to pool/main/l/licq/licq-plugin-jonsgtk_1.2.7-8_i386.deb licq-plugin-kde_1.2.7-8_i386.deb to pool/main/l/licq/licq-plugin-kde_1.2.7-8_i386.deb licq-plugin-qt_1.2.7-8_i386.deb to pool/main/l/licq/licq-plugin-qt_1.2.7-8_i386.deb licq-plugin-rms_1.2.7-8_i386.deb to pool/main/l/licq/licq-plugin-rms_1.2.7-8_i386.deb licq_1.2.7-8.diff.gz to pool/main/l/licq/licq_1.2.7-8.diff.gz licq_1.2.7-8.dsc to pool/main/l/licq/licq_1.2.7-8.dsc licq_1.2.7-8_i386.deb to pool/main/l/licq/licq_1.2.7-8_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
