libpurple 3 is a major API break and everything that uses it will need changes. I'm filing this bug as RC to get it out of Testing to make it easier to land the new Pidgin later this year. This is also a warning that bitlbee is unlikely to be included in Debian 14 unless someone steps up to port bitblee to libpurple 3. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
