Quoting intrigeri <[email protected]>:
You maintain a package that depends on src:libotr.
Yes, I'm uploader of both mcabber and profanity.
For many years, the Tails project (now part of the Tor project) has been funding the work required to maintain src:libotr in Debian.
Many thanks for that!
If it's confirmed that Forky will be released without pidgin-otr, or that Tails stops shipping libotr, whichever happens first, we will stop funding the maintenance of the package in testing/sid.
Fair enough. Everyone who cares moved from OTR to OMEMO since long. Profanity does support OMEMO. mcabber does not, but I assume, that it's not used much with OTR neither. Thanks for the heads-up! I will upload both mcabber and profanity w/o libotr support when time comes, i.e. before forky freeze. NP! Cheers
