Package: libarts1 Version: 1.2.3-1 Severity: normal Hi,
when my KDE session is idle and not playing any sounds, artsd takes 20 % of my CPU to move zeroes to /dev/dsp. This is quite annoying. Is this a bug in arts, or a configuration error on my side? Certainly the sound subsystem doesn't need to take 20 % of a 800 MHz CPU just to be silent.
