As EndeavorOS is not a Debian-based distro and you're seeing the issue there as well, then it is highly-likely an upstream issue as you suspect. In that case, I'd recommend you file a bug upstream so all Linux distros will get the fix. -- Med vänliga hälsningar Patrick Franz
