Package: kwin-common Version: 4:6.5.4-2 Dear Maintainer, please consider dropping the "Recommends" from kwin-common on plasma-desktop.
AFAICT the dependency/recommends chain is: plasma-mobile depends on plasma-workspace, plasma-workspace depends on kwin-common, kwin-common recommends plasma-desktop Side effect of this, on a plasma-mobile system, the "desktop" plasma-welcome is installed and shown on first boot, in addition to the initial start wizard inside plasma-mobile itself. This would be confusing to mobile users, as plasma-welcome shows elements specific to plasma-desktop, e.g. a screenshot with the system tray, whose UI is different on mobile. IMO the dependency chain mentioned above should be cut between kwin-common, that is general component using by different Plasma environments, and plasma-desktop. FTR, this issue was exposed because Mobian recently enabled "Recommends" on official images, that is btw default Debian policy. Kind regards Marco
