Package: kdm
Version: 4:3.5.4-2+b1
Severity: important
After updating the login manager does not display text properly.
Short description:
There are entries for the user names on the system on the left
side. The user names themselves however do not appear. The text
on the login button and on the menu button is readable. The
menu items of the menu are not (The menu only contains some
underscores as text). The default login name is shown initially,
disappears however after it is beeing highlighted. The stars for
the password disappear after the 6th character is typed.
Things I have tried:
Adding more fonts to FontPath. Changing the fonts in the control
center. Purging kdm and reinstalling it.
I would be glad for some hints how I could further analyse it.
Best Regards

The issue was caused by a problem with the nvidia graphics driver.
Thanks anyway.
