Package: kdebase Severity: normal I have an external USB drive. In order for it to always have the same mountpoint, I used its UUID in /etc/fstab :
UUID=fc264689-4306-4adf-bc9e-862fd642c3c9 /media/usb1 auto rw,user, noauto 0 0 I then created a new device on my KDE desktop to access it. Here is the content : [Desktop Entry] Dev=UUID=fc264689-4306-4adf-bc9e-862fd642c3c9 Encoding=UTF-8 Icon=hdd_mount MountPoint=/media/usb1 ReadOnly=false Type=FSDevice UnmountIcon=hdd_unmount If I try to mount it, the icon will not change. If I try to access the disk by clicking on the device, it complains saying the device is either unmounted or busy and then fails. However, if I go to /media/usb1, I can see it has worked, as the disk is now mounted. So, 3 things do not work as expected : 1/ The icon does not change when I mount the disk 2/ There should be no error message as the disk is mounted 3/ I cannot access the disk from the desktop -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-2-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
