That helps, installing 'dolphin' restored the missing default
view modes in 'konqueror'.
Installing 'dolphin' also fixed another 'konqueror' bug I've reported:
#597507: 'be free>Network Folders' crash: "Executable: konqueror PID:
27225 Signal: 11 (Segmentation fault)"
Please don't close these bugs yet though, they consequently raise
the puzzle of why 'dolphin' is merely 'recommended' instead of
'required'. Without networking and default view modes, 'konqueror' is
practically crippleware.
