Yes, it is working now.

So this was actually a bug in the dependencies - perhaps qt was missing a so bump?

While the bug looks fixed now (it doesn't crash anymore), i'm not convinced the underlying issue (that i could install incompatible versions of qt+pyqt/sip) is fixed.
