My sound card has two mic boost, one for the internal mic and one for the external, both seem to work fine, but, it's an internal intel sound card. So, could you report if you can reproduce the issue with 4:4.13.1-1 (or newer), if you can, the issue is hardware specific, and we'll need to bother you some more. If not, then we can close this bug. > Possibly I need to build kmix-dbg from Debian source package. Please adwise if > it will be helpful. The kmix package doesn't provide a -dbg package, you could rebuild kmix package with: DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS='nostrip noopt' apt-get -b source kmix to get a .deb package with symbols and compiled without the compiler optimizations (that make the debugging more confusing). A more complete reference can be found here: https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/apt-howto/ch-sourcehandling.en.html If you can still reproduce the issue, then, a backtrace would be useful. > PS. > For some reason Kde crash reporter said Kmix version is 4.3 thus declined to > send bugreport. That's the internal kmix version, for example the version in kde-sc 4.13 of kmix is 4.5. -- "If I ask another professor what he teaches in the introductory programming course, whether he answers proudly "Pascal" or diffidently "FORTRAN," I know that he is teaching a grammar, a set of semantic rules, and some finished algorithms, leaving the students to discover, on their own, some process of design." -- Robert W.
