Do you realize how EXTREMELY condescending just that statement alone is? And this is just one example which shows how rude (=opposite of polite) your remarks are, I could have quoted every single line you've written, because they are ALL rude! Lisandro was kind enough to try to steer you in a direction in which you could have made a positive contribution to Debian. You however, failed miserably. A positive contribution would have been to detail the steps in which you can reliably reproduce that program X crashes and preferably also provide a useful stacktrace. The 'reportbug' application has a nice template for making a positive contribution and it also collects some useful information which would help pinpoint that particular problem and thus increase the chances of it getting fixed. Making a completely false assumption that the Debian QT/KDE Maintainers don't use the software themselves and extrapolating from there is not helping at all and could very well be de-motivating to the people (Debain maintainers/developers) who put in a LOT of their *free* time in order for us to have/use a great system. When you use testing, you indicate that you're willing to help _constructively_ to make the next STABLE release as good as possible. You also know that things break from time to time and are willing and capable to cope with that. This is even more so in sid/unstable, but it also applies to testing. When you're not willing or capable to do that, use stable. That testing (and indeed sid also) _appear_ so often just work is due to the great work of the various maintainers, but it is in no way a garantee that it is always the case. Particular in the _months_ after a new stable release has come out, BIG changes happen and thus the chances of things breaking increases substantially. Again, if you're not willing or capable to deal with that, use stable. And from now on, I will ignore you because you have annoyed me enough with your negative and unconstructive remarks which have done NOTHING to improve Debian. And I'm not even one of the people who have put in a LOT of their FREE time to provide users of Debian (testing/sid) with great packages which most of the time just work. PS: I am not a member of the Debian QT/KDE team, so this response is surely not on their behalf. I'm just a user who appreciates the great work they do.
