--- Begin Message ---Package: libqt5sql5 Version: 5.4.2+dfsg-5 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I simply tried to log into to kde 5 plasma shell from sddm and it hang at 80%. (I can reproduce the issue from lightdm). When I check dmesg I see the following: [ 54.376399] kactivitymanage[1723]: segfault at 7fc31e72fcd0 ip 00007fc3040d5031 sp 00007ffd7788d388 error 4 in libQt5Sql.so.5.4.2[7fc3040c1000+3f000] I have tried, making a new user on my machine, deleting my .kde and .config directories. I have two machines that are very similar and both have the same issue. xfce4 works fine, if I try and startkde from there, it fails with the same error on the same splash screen. This only seemed to happen once the following were upgraded: [UPGRADE] colord:amd64 1.2.1-1+b2 -> 1.2.11-1 [UPGRADE] colord-data:amd64 1.2.1-1 -> 1.2.11-1 [UPGRADE] libclass-c3-perl:amd64 0.26-1 -> 0.28-1 [UPGRADE] libcolord2:amd64 1.2.1-1+b2 -> 1.2.11-1 [UPGRADE] libcolorhug2:amd64 1.2.1-1+b2 -> 1.2.11-1 [UPGRADE] libijs-0.35:amd64 0.35-10 -> 0.35-11 [UPGRADE] libkdecorations2-5:amd64 4:5.3.2-1 -> 4:5.3.2-2 [UPGRADE] libkdecorations2private5:amd64 4:5.3.2-1 -> 4:5.3.2-2 [UPGRADE] libkf5config-bin:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libkf5config-data:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libkf5configcore5:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libkf5configgui5:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libkf5guiaddons5:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libkf5itemviews-data:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libkf5itemviews5:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libkf5modemmanagerqt6:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libkf5networkmanagerqt6:amd64 5.12.0-1 -> 5.13.0-1 [UPGRADE] libyaml-tiny-perl:amd64 1.67-1 -> 1.69-1 [UPGRADE] python-celery:amd64 3.1.18-1 -> 3.1.18-2 [UPGRADE] python-celery-common:amd64 3.1.18-1 -> 3.1.18-2 [UPGRADE] python3-celery:amd64 3.1.18-1 -> 3.1.18-2 Taking a guess, the kf5 frameworks packages upgraded to 5.13 (from 5.12) are unhappy with libqt5sql (but not sure where I should file the bug report). Not sure if it's related, but I had another issue where if I turned off my monitor, I'd see a similar segfault line, but it was with xcb or something. (So I just stopped turning off my monitor.) That happened recently with possible another upgrade of kde5 frameworks, but since I could still use the system, I didn't report anything. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-updates') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, armhf Kernel: Linux 4.1.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages libqt5sql5 depends on: ii libc6 2.19-19 ii libqt5core5a [qtbase-abi-5-4-2] 5.4.2+dfsg-5 ii libstdc++6 5.1.1-14 Versions of packages libqt5sql5 recommends: ii libqt5sql5-sqlite 5.4.2+dfsg-5 libqt5sql5 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Right, and considering there fix is already in the archive I'm just closing this bug. -- Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer http://perezmeyer.com.ar/ http://perezmeyer.blogspot.com/signature.asc
