It turns out it is a clash both with Chromium (powers Qt WebEngine) and glibc. Check out the Red Hat bugs https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1812482 (Qt) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1773289 (Chromium) The Chromium package also doesn't work on i386; that's bug #965960.
