I see that the there were various fixes upstream related to the compatibility with Qt 5.15 and color palettes, and I would not be surprised that any of these issues would cause a crash: https://github.com/lxqt/lxqt-qtplugin/issues/54 https://github.com/lxqt/lxqt-qtplugin/pull/55 https://github.com/lxqt/lxqt-qtplugin/commit/8cc32d94b4c9de74b5bcf27fae2d10e6b2b11caf It looks like everything is included in the new upstream release 0.16.0, which then needs to be packaged in Debian. Another check you can do is try to run krita in a different desktop environment / window manager than LxQt. Hence, I'm reassigning this to lxqt-qtplugin with proper metadata.
