The trigger of the failure is the move from gfortran 4.8 to 4.9. More precisely, the -fno-whole-file option was dropped in gfortran 4.9 (it is still accepted but does nothing), and this option was required to make the tests pass. I am now investigating why this option was needed in the first place, and how to work around this removal. -- .''`.
