Package: libmpich-dev Version: 3.2-7+b1 Severity: normal The mpi alternatives provide several pkg-config files: mpi-c.pc, mpi-cxx.pc, mpi-fort.pc, mpi.pc, all provided by openmpi.
But mpich only provides mpi.pc This somewhat breaks usage of mpi-defaults, since it means we can't rely on these alternatives existing. For instance, MUMPS FTBFS on m68k because mpi-fort is not available. Should an mpich version of mpi-fort.pc (and mpi-c.pc, mpi-cxx.pc) be created and added to the mpich alternatives? -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages libmpich-dev depends on: ii g++ 4:6.3.0-4 ii gfortran 4:6.3.0-4 ii libc6 2.24-10 ii libcr-dev 0.8.5-2.3+b1 ii libcr0 0.8.5-2.3+b1 ii libmpich12 3.2-7+b1 Versions of packages libmpich-dev recommends: ii mpich 3.2-7+b1 libmpich-dev suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- debian-science-maintainers mailing list debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-science-maintainers
