Thanks a lot for your answers and for the code.
I understand why using runpath in the general case is a bad idea and
that it is actually not needed for openmpi, so this bug should be
fixed in openmpi.
Yet, I wonder whether having runpath set by openmpi is bad enough
that, in the meantime, we have to play such trick in every package
that builds against it?
I'll fix i in openmpi now.
