It is feature-rich but self-contained and only depends on the Qt framework. Required by latest versions of avogadrolibs. Used for scientific visualisation using Qt, so we could maintain in the Debian Science Team (avogadrolibs itself is maintained by the Debichem Team). But it's otherwise a general Qt library so perhaps it's better to maintain it with the Debian Qt/KDE Maintainers alongside qt6. Speak up if you see a strong preference either way.
