Yup, me too.  that's why I wrote in.  :)  Maybe we can make inetd.conf
  ugo-r by default?  That'll help keep stuff from writing to it, and
  inexperienced sysadmins from letting stuff add to it.  *But* it should
  be empty first.  :)
