Thanks. :-) >>*a* and *b* confuses me a little. Although rndc.key is in the chrooted >>/chroot/named/etc/ I get this error message (in addition > you mean /chroot/named/etc/bind/ right ? No, all my configuration files are located in /chroot/named/etc (named.conf, localtime and rndc.key). The zone data files are stored in /chroot/named/etc/namedb. Actually it seems to work except for the rndc.key because resolving hosts from the LAN and machines from the internet work. Just stopping bind9 fails because of the rndc.key. > To stop bind9 the original /etc/init.d/bind uses : /usr/sbin/rndc stop > You'll want to chroot that too, I expect. Yes, I also checked /etc/init.d/bind9 and found out the same but in the HOWTO the author mentioned that he expects no problems with rndc and the document says that rndc doesn't need to be chrooted. > b is probably caused by a Yep, probably... :-) Regards, Marcus -- Fickle minds, pretentious attitudes and ugly make-up on ugly faces...
