For your problem, your Xlib cannot support zh_CN.GB2312 locale, please refer to ftp://xcin.linux.org.tw/pub/xcin/i18n/i18n_tool.tar.gz The README has a description about how to setup your i18n and locale environment on your glibc & Xlib, both for zh_TW.Big5 and zh_CN.GB2312.
