Hi, AFter quite a few CPU cycles on my classic, I've got X (with Mike's patches) built. I have not uplodaded it to master yet as there is at least one issue to fix. You can get the packages from ftp.netg.se:/pub/Linux/spar c/X
I had to make a few patches to the debian stuff to get it to build right. The combined patches is in xfree86.diff.gz The "problem" (rather minor, but anyway) is that Xsun looks for /dev/fb (as a last resort after trying all the individual devices (bwtwo[0-3], cg*[0-3] ...) whereas linux provides fb0. I modified the postinstall to make a symlink from fb to fb0, but we should probably fix Xsun to look for fb0 (and possibly fb1, it does after all support multiheaded machines). Regards, /Anders -- -- Of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong.
