Hello to you all.... Got a nice problem. I do have a SparcStation 1 (SS1) here, and when i do only use 16 Megs of RAM, it works nice. (ok, a little slow, but...)
This is with or 4 x 4 mb Simm modules (with parity) or with 16 x 1 Mb (with parity). When i put in another amount of RAM, like 64 Megs ( 16 x 4 Mb with parity) the machine is doing about 20 hours with making a filesystem of about 500 Mb. When i do the same with 16 Mb, it takes only about 10 minutes. When i run X with 16 Mb, ok, it is slow. But when i run it with 64 MB, it is even slower...
