I have had terrific problems installing Linux on an Ultra-5 because I can't get the boot disk to do anything. I have used bootdisks from RedHat, Debian and UltraPenguin, but I always get bad magic cookie in disk label. Most bizarre.
All I am doing is "boot floppy". It goes away and has a go at it, but then comes back with the given error (cutting and pasting was a little difficult for obvious reasons). Any ideas? TIA Roger
