Addition to Ben's comment: as you may already know, the configuration utility you will need under Solaris is RAID Manager (it has an executable binary called rm6 installed under /usr/lib/osa/bin). This is an optional package that you can download from Sun's web site.
After configuring the array with RM6, the created LUNs will register to the bus as regular drives. No special drivers needed to see them. You'll have to boot into Solaris to setup the A1000. It works perfectly well on Linux after that. auric.debian.org has an A1000 attached to it. We have a small solaris partition just to manage the array, which is never used. It's only there for disaster recovery (parity checks, disabling failed drive, enabling hotswap replacement). -- Debian - http://www.debian.org/ Linux 1394 - http://www.linux1394.org/ Subversion - http://subversion.tigris.org/ Deqo - http://www.deqo.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
