Scrub the last message, I've spotted libncurses.so points to /lib/libncurses.so, which points to... blahblah, and points to the actual .so itself, rather than /usr/lib/ncurses.so.
Any idea what I should do to fix this...? Should the recursive symlink be there, or is it a bug?
