Just to reconfirm: It fails reproduceably with your `xorg.conf' here. The symptoms are the same as reported before, notably the apparent file system breakage after X failed and exited. Maybe some kernel/XSF folks could share with us their opinion on this? This would be nice since I have no idea how to proceed to provide more useful reports now.
