Hi, I'm having a problem with apt during a dist-upgrade from sarge to etch on a sparc32 machine (still running a 2.4 kernel - but stock 2.6.23.1 does boot on this box, so after the upgrade I will try to get this running).
I had some dpkg-processes being stuck in non-interruptible sleep and had to reboot twice to get rid of them; now I have: Setting up apt (0.6.46.4-0.1) ... gpg: key 2D230C5F: no valid user IDs gpg: this may be caused by a missing self-signature gpg: key 6070D3A1: no valid user IDs gpg: this may be caused by a missing self-signature gpg: key ADB11277: no valid user IDs gpg: this may be caused by a missing self-signature gpg: key BBE55AB3: no valid user IDs gpg: this may be caused by a missing self-signature gpg: Total number processed: 4 gpg: w/o user IDs: 4 dpkg: error processing apt (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2 dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of aptitude: aptitude depends on libapt-pkg-libc6.3-6-3.11; however: Package libapt-pkg-libc6.3-6-3.11 is not installed. I have the suspicion that this is sparc specific - another user had the same problem: http://linuxmafia.com/pipermail/conspire/2007-April/002971.html But no solution got posted. The keys *are* imported OK, it seems: lian:/etc/apt# apt-key list /etc/apt/trusted.gpg -------------------- pub 1024D/2D230C5F 2006-01-03 [expired: 2007-02-07] uid Debian Archive Automatic Signing Key (2006) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> pub 1024D/6070D3A1 2006-11-20 [expires: 2009-07-01] uid Debian Archive Automatic Signing Key (4.0/etch) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> pub 1024D/ADB11277 2006-09-17 uid Etch Stable Release Key <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> pub 1024D/BBE55AB3 2007-03-31 [expires: 2010-03-30] uid Debian-Volatile Archive Automatic Signing Key (4.0/etch) sub 2048g/36CA98F3 2007-03-31 [expires: 2010-03-30] Could it be the case that the etch-gnupg can only work with a devfs-enabled kernel? Even when I'm copying over the keyrings from another etch installation, the same error persists, same when I use --allow-unauthenticated (which I would call a bug). TIA, Uli -- Dipl. Inf.
