Hi! While reading the debian-devel archives for this week, I just found something that might also be useful for anyone running Debian sparc and who wants to upgrade to Debian sparc64 without having to reinstall.
It seems that it's actually feasible to upgrade from an older to a newer Debian architecture if the CPU is compatible with both architectures. It's called crossgrading [1]. Would be interesting to hear of the results for performing a crossgrade from sparc to sparc64. So, if anyone wants to do that, please report back to the list. Thanks, Adrian > [1] https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2016/12/msg00366.html -- .''`.
