Hi again, Rather silly thing this was. I had installed the fglrx software from ATI for my video card using alien. This caused a dependency problem, so what I did was to remove the fglrx software, and ran apt-get -f install. This made the software load correctly. Of course I had to re-install the fglrx software again, but it is now almost working as I want. Still a few keys that are off, but nothing I cannot take care of with a bit of time, and a few cups of coffee. Sorry for the bother. -- Your program is sick! Shoot it and put it out of its memory.
