Sendmail is reporting lookup errors, deferring outgoing mail
eg
yahoo.com works
hotmail.com doesn't (mx1 - mx4)
normal dns lookups is aok
sendmail lookup isn't
sendmail -d8.8 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
dns_getcanonname(hotmail.com, trymx=1)
dns_getcanonname: trying hotmail.com. (AAAA)
NO: errno=0, h_errno=4
dns_getcanonname: trying hotmail.com. (A)
YES
dns_getcanonname: hotmail.com
[-no output anymore-]
might be because of IPv6
any hints to try out?
