I configured a Sarge system with kernel 2.6.7. I just wanted to have an ftp server. After accepting all dependencies the system started to install Samba as well. Then it even tried to start Appletalk services by configuring netatalk (1.6.4-1), resulting in about 1 hour lasting sending of AARP requests, asking for a target id 65493.222. Can anyone explain why this is happening and how I can prevent this during the installation?
