Doing apt-get dist-upgrade: after the unpacking step for strace we got E: Sub-process returned an error code
which caused apt-get to abort. After a couple of reruns, apt-get (and dpkg) couldn't get past xdemineur, which kept dying because it was unable to run update-menus. Manually dpkg -i'ng menu fixed it (but that's not exactly user friendly. :-) There's still a dselect loop between afterstep/wmaker/asclock. Mike Stone
