That's one of Debian's great advantages: *never* having to reinstall.
(I've almost forgotten what the word means.) Oh, and rebooting is for
when you upgrade the kernel or when you want to add hardware to your
machine. The only other necessary reboot was when upgrading from
libc5 to libc6. No rebooting necessary for upgrading Debian!
