David, Using the bf2.4 from http://people.debian.org/~dwhedon/dists/woody/main/disks-i386/current/images-1.44/bf2.4/ all seems fine - except for the "Invalid Release file, no main components." error when trying to load base system from network from either http.us.debian.org/debian or one of the mirrors ftp.egr.msu.edu/debian.
