Hi Leute, seitdem ich mir vor ca. 10 Tagen eine neue Matrox-Grafikkarte (G400, 16MB) eingebaut habe, ist mein PC mehrfach abgestürzt. Jedesmal hatte ich den Rechner gerade erst gestartet, "startx" aufgerufen und vielleicht ein, zwei Minuten unter X gearbeitet. Symptome: Maus und Tastaturen reagieren nicht mehr. Leider habe ich keinen Zweit-Rechner greifbar, deshalb kann ich nicht testen, ob der PC noch über Netz erreichbar wäre.
Die letzte Meldung im Syslog lautet: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-226 Kann mir jemand erklären, was char-major-226 ist? Und kann das einen Absturz erklären? Jetzt gerade (X läuft scheinbar ohne Probleme) bringt der X-Server auf der Konsole haufenweise diese Meldung: LookupDeviceIntRec id=0x0 not found Was bedeutet das? Und wenn ich schon dabei bin: Beim Booten bekomme ich ide: Assuming 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes; override with idebus=xx VP_IDE: IDE controller on PCI bus 00 dev 39 VP_IDE: chipset revision 6 VP_IDE: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later ide: Assuming 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes; override with idebus=xx VP_IDE: VIA vt82c686b (rev 40) IDE UDMA100 controller on pci00:07.1 ide0: BM-DMA at 0xd000-0xd007, BIOS settings: hda:DMA, hdb:DMA ide1: BM-DMA at 0xd008-0xd00f, BIOS settings: hdc:DMA, hdd:pio hda: IBM-DJNA-351520, ATA DISK drive hdb: TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-M1502, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive hdc: IBM-DHEA-36481, ATA DISK drive ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14 ide1 at 0x170-0x177,0x376 on irq 15 hda: 30033360 sectors (15377 MB) w/430KiB Cache, CHS=1869/255/63, (U)DMA hdc: 12692736 sectors (6499 MB) w/472KiB Cache, CHS=12592/16/63, UDMA(33) Partition check: hda: hda1 hda2 hda3 hda4 < hda5 hda6 hda7 hda8 hda9 hda10 > hdc: [PTBL] [790/255/63] hdc1 hdc2 hdc3 hdc4 < hdc5 hdc6 hdc7 hdc8 > [...] Freeing unused kernel memory: 216k freed hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC } hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC } hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC } hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC } ide0: reset: success Zeit, über eine neue Festplatte nachzudenken?
