Tenha em mão um live cd (ubuntu ou debian)
Então, tente isto:

RECUPERANDO O GRUB
Dar boot com Live-cd do Ubuntu.
1. Verifique o número da partição referente ao seu GNU/LINUX:
$ sudo fdisk -l
(Supondo que seja n. 5, veja qual é a sua)
2. Monte o seu sistema de arquivos na sua partição GNU/Linux no diretório
/mnt.
$ sudo mount -t ext4 /dev/sda5 /mnt
3. Instalação do Grub:
$ sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sda5
4. Desmonte
$ sudo umount /mnt
5. Reinicie
$ sudo reboot
