Faça um upgrade urgente dos seus servidores ssh se nenhum dele tiver sido patcheado contra os problemas de segurança que permitiam root exploit (os do security updates do potato foram), o melhor é migrar tudo para protocolo versão 2 , você está usando versões muito antigas.
Atualize tudo e não vai mais ter esse problema.
