Dê um grant no usuario que voce quer acessar pelo ip do servidor
no prompt do mysql, digite:
#mysql> GRANT SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE ON [nomedobanco ou "*" pra todos os
bancos ] TO [EMAIL PROTECTED] IDENTIFIED BY "senha_entre_aspas"
ex: GRANT SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE ON mambo_db TO [EMAIL PROTECTED]
IDENTIFIED BY "123456"
Neste caso voce só vai ter como inserir selecionar e atualizar, provavelmente
o mambo deve precisar de mais privilegios, (ex: criar e dropar tabelas)
entao vc pode colocar ALL PRIVILEGES no lugar das opções SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE
